Fantasy Football Player Notes

After four mostly disappointing seasons with the Browns, Baker Mayfield split his 2022 season between the Panthers and Rams. His tenure in Carolina went poorly, but Mayfield acquitted himself well in four late-season starts for the Rams, particularly in light of how thin the Rams were at wide receiver after a season-ending injury to Cooper Kupp. Mayfield is the favorite to start Week 1 for his new team, the Buccaneers, although he could be challenged by Kyle Trask. For fantasy purposes, Mayfield is only a consideration in 2QB, superflex or extremely deep 1QB leagues.
