Fantasy Football Player Notes

Sam LaPorta finished with a solid but not amazing stat line for Week 1 as the TE15 in fantasy. He had a 17.9% target share (third on the team) and 16% first-read share (third on the team) while posting five receptions with 48 scoreless receiving yards (1.45 YPRR). He didn't see any deep targets, but he did walk away with two red zone targets. This week, he faces a Buffalo defense that continued a yearly tradition of being amazing against tight ends to open the 2026 season. In Week 1, Buffalo allowed the ninth-fewest yards per target and the sixth-fewest fantasy points per opportunity to tight ends. I expect this will be another tough matchup for LaPorta, so temper your expectations.
