The trade deadline is upon us which means time is running out for you to stake your claim on your league’s prize money. Each decision you make in setting your lineup can be crucial at this time of the year so I’ll help you sort out the tough choices. Each week, I build my rankings to help you through the difficult decisions. They are based on injuries, ballparks, matchups and playing time trends. Even more so, Coors and two-start pitchers throw the rankings for a loop. Let’s dive into my rankings for week 17 of the fantasy baseball season.

Coors Field Watch

The Rockies played two home series this week, but now will be going on the road to the Midwest to take on St. Louis then Milwaukee all week. As a result, all of their hitters will take a huge hit in the rankings while each of their pitchers is treated like a normal baseball player for a change.

Two-Start Risers

This week, we’ve got a load of useful two-start pitchers going. There are only 35 total starters who have two starts, but a remarkable 20 of them are worth using in both starts. Six are always start-worthy, including Tyler Skaggs and Jack Flaherty, which leaves 14 who aren’t always startable. I’ll list them below along with their matchups, but first, don’t forget about the streamers. We’ve got 10 of them from this week’s two-start group who draw one useful matchup. Among them, Derek Holland at San Diego and Anibal Sanchez versus the Marlins are the best of the bunch. Alright, let’s take a look at the 14 who get a huge boost this week:

Now let’s shift our attention to my full player rankings for the week.
