As usual, it’s a busy Friday, with eight games on the main slate. There are a bunch of game-time decisions to keep tabs on today. Some of the important ones are Derrick Rose (knee), Elfrid Payton (ankle), Nikola Mirotic (ankle), Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (ankle) and Serge Ibaka (knee). Keep an eye out for the morning shoot-around reports, after which many of these statuses will become clear. Most of the players listed here are trending towards playing, but there’s no guarantee and still check lineups close to tipoff. Ankle injuries have a habit of hanging around due to the workload those joints go through as part of playing the game. Meanwhile, let’s look at some values who are definitely playing Friday.

Point Guard

Jeff Teague (MIN): $6,900 vs. POR
Teague’s return from a knee injury that kept him sidelined for six games has gone well. Teague has posted a point-assist double-double in both games since his return, with a season-high 14 assists on Wednesday, and has totaled 40+ FPTS in each. On Friday, the Timberwolves could be without Derrick Rose (knee), although at time of writing Rose is trending towards being available. Regardless, Teague should start and see the bulk of the point guard minutes. Also, the trading away of Jimmy Butler has benefited Teague owners, and he will continue to be featured heavily.

Shooting Guard

Rodney McGruder (MIA): $4,600 @IND
McGruder can be looked at as a reliable lost-cost option for those looking for a 20+ FPT yield with little risk. McGruder has averaged 22.9 FPTS over his last eight games, during which he was only below 20 FPTS once and twice came close to 30 FPTS. He’s also averaging 33 minutes per game.

Small Forward

Evan Turner (POR): $4,500 @ MIN
Turner’s fantasy points have been a bit of a rollercoaster (last five games: 25, 9, 25, 38, 15), but if you need a cheap SF to pair with one of the top options, Turner is certainly worth a look. His recent minutes have been in the high 20’s and he’s a decent source for stats across all categories. Turner is a risk-reward play, but if he can break his shooting slump then he could provide a handsome return. There’s definite upside if you’re willing to board the Turner-coaster.

Power Forward

Derrick Favors (UTA): $5,400 @ PHI
Favors is another player who has been up and down recently. But he has exceeded 33 FPTS in three of his last five games and has averaged 29.9 FPTS over that span, ranging from 20.8 to 38.5 FPTS.  The main knock on Favors is that he is averaging about 24 minutes per game, and it would be nice to see that a little higher.  He has been efficient with that time, however, and his versatility makes him a good bet to return value.

Center

Enes Kanter (NYK): $6,000 @ NO
Kanter is playing solid ball right now. Fellow center Mitchell Robinson (ankle) tweaked his ankle on Wednesday and will be a game-time decision. Robinson is trending towards playing at the time of writing, but if the ankle hampers him in any way, Kanter will step into those minutes. Kanter double-doubled in points and rebounds in his five games prior to Wednesday’s clash with the Thunder.
