Although the stock market is closed on weekends, the Jock MKT is always open, and it popped OFF Sunday night! Tom Brady clocked the highest trading volume of any player, including being the most-shorted player.

October has to be in the question for best sports month of the year, right? All four sports are in go-mode!

MLB: The Red Sox sent the Yankees packing in the Wild Card play-in game, which was Jock MKT’s biggest MLB market this season by a wide margin. Now that we’re in the postseason, expect smaller player pools and much higher volatility, as one home run from anyone could have a major impact on their final rankings.

The NHL drops its first regular-season puck on Tuesday 10/12, Jock MKT will have the live market ready to go!

The NBA season tips off a week later, Tuesday 10/19, and Jock MKT has some exciting announcements you can expect in the coming weeks!

Week 4 Top Returns:

Top-Traded Players:

Here are Stocks I’m Buying for this Sunday’s NFL slate.

Ezekiel Elliott (RB  – DAL) $7.50, Projected Final Rank: 20th
Zeke stans can finally breathe after last weekend. Two weeks ago, Tony Pollard outperformed Elliott, leading some to think this is finally the year the backfield turns into a full-on timeshare. Well, not so fast. In week four, Elliott played 75% of offensive snaps and took 20 carries for 143 yards and a touchdown. This Sunday, the Cowboys play the Giants. The Giants defense is bottom-10 in rushing yards allowed and receiving yards allowed to opposing running backs.

Jonathan Taylor (RB – IND) $6.00, Projected Final Rank: 28th
These goalline carries HAVE to start turning into touchdowns, right? RIGHT!? Taylor leads the NFL with seven carries inside the opponent’s five-yard line but hasn’t converted any to touchdowns. He’s also tied for the fifth-most broken tackles among running backs, with seven. The Ravens defense has given up five touchdowns to opposing running backs on the ground, tied for second-most in the NFL. Taylor’s 50% snap rate scares me a bit, but he’s incredibly efficient and those high-value touches will turn into scores eventually.

Ryan Tannehill (QB – TEN) $8.00, Projected Final Rank: 18th
Hopefully, his two favorite targets in A.J. Brown and Julio Jones are healthy this weekend. As long as at least one of them is, Tannehill is still a buy for me. The 0-4 Jaguars recently lost their first-round cornerback CJ Henderson by way of trade with the Panthers and it showed last week. Joe Burrow completed 25 of 32 passes for 348 yards and two touchdowns. The Jags have allowed the third-most yards to opposing QBs and have intercepted just one pass this season. I’m looking for Tannehill’s stock to be reasonably priced considering Derrick Henry is on pace to break the record for number of touches in a single season.

Laviska Shenault (WR – JAX) $5.84, Projected Final Rank: 29th
Who knew an AFC West matchup could prove so lucrative for fantasy football purposes? Well, that’s what happens when you have two underperforming defenses. The Titans have allowed more fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers than any other team in football. Trevor Lawrence has one less mouth to feed with D.J. Chark nursing a fractured ankle. Last week, Shenault stepped up and caught six of his seven targets for 99 yards. Shenault is impressive in space and up-and-coming yards after the catch beast. His rapport with Lawrence will only blossom from here, and what better week for Shenault’s first touchdown than against the defense that’s given up the most in the NFL to WRs?

Dawson Knox (TE – BUF) $4.75, Projected Final Rank: 36th
Knox is my discount play of the week. Sure, he’s proven to be touchdown-dependent so far this season, but that’s fine when he’s one of the best scoring weapons on this high-octane Bills offense. The Buffalo Bills are third in total pass attempts, first in trips to the red zone, and Josh Allen is tied for the league lead in pass attempts in the red zone. That’s music to a TE’s ears. Knox has also played more than 77% of offensive snaps in each of the past three weeks. Lastly, the Chiefs have far and away allowed 348 receiving yards to opposing TEs, that’s the most in the league.
