Yesterday was one of my best days of the season, and I was so close to blinking a GPP. That’s one of the ultimate goals in this racket but walking away with a profit feels good too. I want to help you guys make some dough, though, so let’s go ahead and get into it!
Monday’s slate was wild with nine games, but we have just five games here. What’s interesting about this slate is all of the injuries. We’ll get into those in the next section, but it will wreak havoc on the player pool. We only know so much the night before, so be sure to check injury reports before submitting lineups!

Core Plays
Giannis Antetokounmpo (PF – MIL): $11,600 DraftKings, $11,300 FanDuel
Giannis is always one of the best plays on the board, but he’s especially dangerous here. It looks like Milwaukee will be without Jrue Holiday, Brook Lopez, and Khris Middleton, leaving Giannis with pretty much every fantasy point available. He likely won’t surpass the 30-minute mark, but he’s likely looking at a 40 percent usage rate and serious triple-double potential.

Russell Westbrook (PG – LAL): $9,900 DraftKings, $9,200 FanDuel
Speaking of triple-doubles, Westbrook is returning to his usual ways. The former MVP has at least 46 DraftKings points in five of his last six games, flirting with triple-double averages in that span. He was actually just two rebounds, and one assist shy of one against this team on Sunday and did that damage despite the blowout nature of that game.
Donovan Mitchell (PG/SG – UTH): $8,800 DraftKings, $8,000 FanDuel
Mitchell has at least 32 DK points in every game this season, falling just short of a 40-point average. That floor is hard to overlook here, facing a Sacramento team that owned the worst defense in the NBA last season. In addition, they surrender the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing guards this year!
Cash Game Considerations
Luka Doncic (PG – DAL): $11,100 DraftKings, $10,400 FanDuel
Luka hasn’t quite been the MVP Luka we’ve been waiting to see, but he’s always a great DFS option. This dude regularly posts 30-point triple-doubles and essentially has a 40-point floor on DK and FD. Miami has been struggling with opposing point guards, too, owing to a 20th OPRK against them.
Jimmy Butler (SG/SF – MIA): $9,100 DraftKings, $10,000 FanDuel
This dude is on a mission right now. Jimmy Buckets has at least 37 DK points in every game this season, reaching the 50-point mark in four straight. That’s hard to neglect, especially at this DraftKings price and in this favorable matchup.
George Hill (PG – MIL): $3,800 DraftKings, $4,600 FanDuel
It’s rare to have a $4K player in the cash game section, but Hill could be in for a big workload here. He’s played at least 27 minutes in four straight games, dropping at least 20 DK points in five straight. That’s an amazing number from someone this cheap, and he could be asked to do even more with so many Milwaukee players on the mend.
GPP Targets
Christian Wood (C – HOU): $8,300 DraftKings, $7,900 FanDuel
Wood is too good to be in the GPP section, but the volatility of the Rockets has forced him into it. Despite all of the blowouts, the big man is still a beast, averaging over 40 DK points per game. That’s all you can ask for from an $8K player, and it’d be scary to see what he could do if the Rockets were actually competitive. The matchup is pristine, too, with the Lakers surrendering the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing centers.
Tim Hardaway Jr (SG/SF – DAL): $6,100 DraftKings, $5,000 FanDuel
THJ has always been a volatile fantasy option, but with Kristaps Porzingis and Maxi Kleber possibly sitting, he could be looking at 35 minutes and 15-20 shots. That would make him tough to fade, particularly with Hardaway averaging 30 DK points per game without KP last season.
Bojan Bogdanovic (SF – UTA): $5,100 DraftKings, $5,400 FanDuel
Bojan is another sharpshooter that continues to provide volatile fantasy numbers. We like him here because of the matchup, with Sacramento owning one of the worst defenses in the NBA. In three matchups with the Kings last year, Bogey averaged 30 DK points per game. That’d be quite the number from a $5,100 player.
Value Plays
Pat Connaughton (SG/SF – MIL): $4,600 DraftKings, $5,000 FanDuel
We just mentioned how shorthanded Milwaukee is, and that should force Connaughton into the starting lineup. It will also put him in line for 35 minutes and an increased role, making him a decent bet for 5X value at this price. He’s always provided about a fantasy-point-per-minute for his career and that’d be a godsend in this spot.
Dwight Powell (C – DAL): $4,000 DraftKings, $4,800 FanDuel
With KP and Kleber likely out, Powell should get all the playing time he can handle. In the last game without those two, Powell played 33 minutes and provided 28 DK points. If we get a duplicate performance here, Powell would be one of the punt plays of the day.
Bobby Portis (PF/C – MIL): $4,400 DraftKings, $4,700 FanDuel
Portis is another Milwaukee guy that should get a bump here. He was actually their fourth-best player in the playoffs last year and could flirt with a double-double in this great spot. The only question mark is the minutes, but if we get word that he starts or is cleared for 25-plus, Bobby is one of the best plays out there south of $5K.
