Dynasty Players to Buy, Sell & Hold: Week 11 (2022 Fantasy Football)

Dynasty Players to Buy, Sell & Hold: Week 11 (2022 Fantasy Football)

With just a few weeks to go until the fantasy football playoffs, the time to make those final trades is now. Your trade deadline is likely just around the corner, meaning if you want to buy those last-minute win-now pieces, you need to do so as soon as possible.

On the flip side, if you’re selling players and looking towards next year and the 2023 rookie class, now is a great time to sell high. You can capitalize on the teams trying their hardest to get those extra depth pieces to help them win a championship. Here are some players to buy, sell and hold on your dynasty rosters as we head into Week 11.

Leonard Fournette (RB – TB)

FantasyPros Dynasty Ranking: RB24

Right now, all of the hype surrounds Buccaneers’ rookie running back, Rachaad White. White is coming off the best game of his rookie season, as he racked up 105 yards on 22 carries. He looks good, runs very hard, and looks much more explosive with the ball in his hands than veteran Leonard Fournette has this year. That said, this might open a decent little window to buy low on Fournette.

If you’re in a position to make a playoff run, Fournette is someone you can acquire, and he’ll help you win now. He suffered a hip pointer last week but is expected to be ready and back for Week 12. Tampa Bay has their bye week coming up, so Fournette will get some extra rest. Despite leaving early last week with his injury, he still had 14 carries for 57 yards and a touchdown. Fournette is also still heavily involved in the passing game, as he’s racked up 43 receptions on the season, third for all running backs behind just Austin Ekeler and Christian McCaffrey.

This will be a split backfield if Fournette is on the team. Even if it turns into a 60/40 split in favor of the rookie, it will be enough to make Fournette worth buying. He’s the PPR RB9 and will be a high-end RB2 moving forward. Tampa Bay gets Arizona and Carolina in Weeks 16 and 17, both great matchups for your fantasy playoffs.

Verdict: Buy

Justin Fields (QB – CHI)

FantasyPros Dynasty Ranking: QB10

The second-year quarterback for Chicago has been turning it on lately, and he’s been an absolute stud for your fantasy teams. Justin Fields has run for a touchdown in four-straight games and has thrown two or more passing touchdowns in three straight. He’s looking like the next “Konami Code” type of quarterback who will dominate fantasy football teams both through the air and on the ground.

Similar to players like Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray, and Jalen Hurts, Fields could take that step forward and be a valuable piece for your dynasty teams. That said, you might consider putting him on the trade block. Players like this get such a massive jump in value that you can try to capitalize, especially in your Superflex or 2-Quarterback leagues. Don’t go out and sell him for the sake of it, but at least put him on the block and see if some crazy offers drop into your inbox.

Verdict: Hold/Sell High

Jeff Wilson (RB – MIA)

FantasyPros Dynasty Ranking: RB57

Since being traded to the Dolphins ahead of Week 9, Wilson has been a top-12 running back in both weeks. In Week 9 against Chicago, he was the RB10, and in Week 10 against the Browns, he was the RB6. Reuniting him with Mike McDaniel has been a quick and easy transition for Wilson, and he’s looking like the Dolphins’ running back to have for at least the rest of this year. He’s already been more efficient than Raheem Mostert, who is 30 years old.

Both Mostert and Wilson are on one-year deals, and there’s probably a decent chance that one or both of them won’t be back with Miami next year. There’s also a good chance a rookie running back lands there next year. Wilson doesn’t have the best schedule for the rest of the year, but he’ll be a solid RB3 or depth piece to use and help you win now.

Verdict: Buy

DeAndre Hopkins (WR – ARI)

FantasyPros Dynasty Ranking: WR32

The last name this week is DeAndre Hopkins. He’s 30 years old, and since returning from his suspension, he’s put up two 100+ receiving-yard games and has two touchdowns in four games. Kyler Murray hasn’t been his usual elite self, and the relationship between him and Kliff Kingsbury seems pretty rocky.

Marquise Brown is potentially returning after the Week 13 bye, and I’d expect the 13+ targets per game to slow down some. If you’re not winning this year, you should consider selling high on Hopkins. Personally, I sold Hopkins on a rebuilding team for Breece Hall. Don’t expect that type of return, but it’s worth considering putting the 30-year-old wide receiver on the block.

Verdict: Sell High/Hold
