Best Fantasy Football Draft Values on NFFC Leagues (2023 ADP)

Best Fantasy Football Draft Values on NFFC Leagues (2023 ADP)

High-stakes fantasy football has seen tremendous growth over the years. What was once considered a high-roller exclusive has now drawn the interest of fantasy football, DFS, and gambling enthusiasts alike. Since 2004, the National Fantasy Football Championship (NFFC) has been at the forefront of that conversation. Below we take a look at the best fantasy football draft values in NFFC leagues based on Average Draft Position.

Over the course of the offseason you will be able to use our ADP (Average Draft Position) tool to determine players that present values and reaches on popular league host sites. The tool combines the updated ADP for different sites along with our latest Expert Consensus Rankings (ECR) to provide players to target and avoid based on average draft position. You can also use our mock draft simulator to sync your league and complete fantasy football mock drafts against the current ADP of your league host.

Best Values on NFFC (2023 Fantasy Football)

The NFFC Classic is the longest-running NFFC tournament, but the NFFC Primetime ($250,000 top prize), Rotowire Online Championship ($250,000 top prize), and new addition Footballguys Championship ($350,000 top prize) are the creme de la creme.

The NFFC does offer a handful of lower-stakes tournaments, but it’s safe to say the majority of NFFC users would be considered sharps. That can lead to a pretty tough drafting landscape. You aren’t going to get the massive values you get in your home redraft league. There’s just too much money at stake.

Still, even the slightest of edges can be the difference between a mediocre finish and a profitable one. Here are some of the best values on NFFC.

Brandon Aiyuk (WR – SF): ADP 74.75 | ECR 69

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is one of the most disrespected players in all of football. Despite proving that he’s a talented, productive NFL wide receiver, he gets almost no love from the fantasy football community.

Using the past two weeks of drafts over at NFFC, Aiyuk is the current WR32 off the board with an average draft position (ADP) of 74.75. That’s pretty disrespectful to a player that set career highs in targets (113), receiving yards (1,015), and receiving touchdowns (eight) en route to a WR17 finish in PPR scoring in 2022.

Don’t get me wrong, I understand the concerns. Aiyuk plays in a run-first offense, has a shaky quarterback situation, and shares targets with Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel and George Kittle. Those are all valid concerns, but I think it’s more likely that Aiyuk takes a step forward than a step back. Always bet on the talent.

Alexander Mattison (RB – MIN): ADP 79.31 | ECR 35 (updated 6/9, day of release)

After being stashed away and hyped-up for years as the heir apparent to Dalvin Cook in Minnesota, is it finally Alexander Mattison’s time? It has to be, right?

Although Cook was finally dropped by the Vikings, the uncertainty kept Mattison in the RB27 range with an ADP of 79.31 over the past two weeks.

That ADP will soon skyrocket, so I suggest taking the plunge now before the price increases. Sure, there’s always a chance that Cook restructures his contract and ultimately stays in Minnesota, but that seems unlikely at this point.

Even if you aren’t a fan of Mattison’s game, you can’t argue how important volume is at the running back position. In six games without Cook, Mattison has averaged 20.38 PPR points with nearly four receptions per game. Take the gamble on a current RB3 with RB1 upside.

Alec Pierce (WR – IND): ADP 176.06 | ECR 158

Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce had an up-and-down rookie season, but there’s reason to believe his best days are ahead of him. Among other things, the Colts have a new offensive system and a shiny new quarterback with tremendous upside.

After wasting his first season catching passes from noodle-armed Matt Ryan, Sam Ehlinger and Nick Foles, Pierce is looking to improve upon his WR63 finish from a season ago. That shouldn’t be too hard to accomplish under first-year head coach Shane Steichen.

Steichen brings with him the Eagles’ offensive system that helped transform Jalen Hurts into an MVP candidate. They also drafted electric quarterback Anthony Richardson No. 5 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. The Colts did add depth to the wide receiver position in veteran Isaiah McKenzie and rookie third-round slot receiver Josh Downs, but Pierce fits the profile of an outside Z-Receiver and is considered the favorite to join Michael Pittman in 2WR sets.

There is an expected learning curve for the raw quarterback prospect, but early reports suggest that Richardson is impressing in OTA’s and has a chance to start as early as Week 1. Richardson has a massive arm that could mesh well with Pierce’s big-play ability downfield.

Despite these upgrades around him, Pierce is currently being drafted as the WR67 with an ADP of 176.06 over the past two weeks. He’s the very definition of a no-risk potential lottery ticket.
