Fantasy Baseball Injury Roundup: June 26

Zach Neto (SS – LAA)

Neto is still on pause with his baseball activities. The Angels SS didn’t join his team in Denver, and we’re still waiting on an update this week from the Angels.

Ross Stripling (SP – SF)

Great news here, as the Giants have activated Stripling from the 15-day IL. After a successful rehab, he’s looking set to rejoin the rotation this week. A much-needed boost for his owners and the Giants’ rotation.

Chris Taylor (2B, 3B, SS, OF – LAD)

Unfortunately, the Dodgers have placed Taylor on the 10-day IL due to persistent right knee soreness. Taylor has not been able to recover enough to avoid this. Triple-A Oklahoma City’s Yonny Hernandez has been recalled as the corresponding move.

Jose Altuve (2B – HOU)

Astros’ Altuve has a sore heel that made him miss Sunday’s game against the Dodgers. He sustained this during his bunt single on Saturday. As of now, he is considered day-to-day.

Marcus Stroman (SP – CHC)

Stroman exited early during Sunday’s game due to potential hand issues. More information is expected soon. If he needs any time off, Hayden Wesneski might step into his shoes.

Jeff McNeil (2B, OF – NYM)

McNeil returned to the lineup on Sunday after being out due to a sore left wrist. His June performance has been a bit of a slump, so we hope he’ll regain form soon!

Sean Murphy (C – ATL)

Murphy made his comeback on Sunday after battling hamstring issues since June 17. This moves Travis d’Arnaud back to DH duties.

Byron Buxton (OF – MIN)

Buxton had to leave Saturday’s game early due to back spasms. As of now, he’s day-to-day, and he sat out Sunday’s series finale against the Tigers.

Andres Munoz (RP – SEA)

After a scare on the mound on Saturday, it turns out Munoz was feeling ill, not suffering from an arm injury. He should avoid an IL stint but is likely day-to-day.

Anthony Rendon (3B – LAA)

Rendon, still dealing with his wrist injury, was seen playing catch on the field Saturday. He’s showing progress but doesn’t have a clear return date yet.

James Paxton (SP – BOS)

Good news for Paxton’s owners! He expects to make his next start this coming Friday in Toronto, despite some knee soreness.

Akil Baddoo (OF – DET) and Riley Greene (OF – DET)

Both Baddoo and Greene were seen taking batting practice on Saturday. Baddoo is recovering from a right quad strain, and Greene is doing sprints after a leg injury. No clear return timetable yet, but this is promising.

Eduardo Rodriguez (SP – DET)

Rodriguez successfully threw about 50 pitches across three simulated innings on Saturday. No setbacks were reported, and a rehab assignment could be on the horizon.

Noah Syndergaard (SP – LAD)

Syndergaard, sidelined since early June with a blister on his right hand, threw to hitters on Saturday. There is no clear return date as of now.

Matt Moore (RP – LAA)

Moore, out with a right oblique strain, won’t be activated Monday as initially hoped. Keep an eye out for updates.

Luke Jackson (RP – SF)

Jackson had to leave his Saturday game early due to lower back tightness. More information is expected soon.

Ben Lively (SP, RP – CIN)

Lively is on the 15-day IL with a right pectoral muscle strain and will be out for at least a couple of weeks.

Jose Leclerc (RP – TEX)

Leclerc is on the 15-day IL due to a right ankle sprain. He does not have a timetable for his return.
