Injury News
Mike Gesicki suffered mild dislocated shoulder Monday
Patriots TE Mike Gesicki exited practice early Monday after suffering a mild dislocated shoulder.
Fantasy Impact
Gesicki was helped off the practice field Monday after suffering the injury in a one-on-one tackle drill. Based on today’s news, it does not sound like the injury will be long term. Gesicki currently ranks as the TE22 in ECR, according to FantasyPros.

Damien Harris (knee) still not practicing
Damien Harris (knee) working off to the side at practice Tuesday. Head coach Sean McDermott has stated Harris is trending in the right direction.
Fantasy Impact
Currently on a one-year deal, Harris has the opportunity to fill the void left by Devin Singletary. The Bills expect Damien Harris to add more size in a complementary role to pair with RB James Cook. In nine healthy games last season, Harris averaged just 8.8 fantasy points, 11 carries, and 49 rushing yards per game. He will look to improve these numbers in his new offense led by Josh Allen.

Justyn Ross carted off at practice Monday
According to Adam Teicher of ESPN, second-year WR Justyn Ross left practice on a cart after receiving medical treatment from the staff.
Fantasy Impact
Ross has an unfortunate history of injury, taking away much of his college career at Clemson and his entire rookie season in Kansas City. The 23-year-old Ross was a training camp standout for the Chiefs. He lived up to the optimism in his preseason debut, catching a touchdown against the Saints. Hopes are that his injury is not serious, but his situation should be monitored.

Elijah Moore (ribs) back for joint practice
Elijah Moore (ribs) is back in individual drills on Day 2 of joint practices with the Eagles.
Fantasy Impact
Moore is looking to bounce back from a rocky 2022 campaign. A new situation with the Cleveland Browns gives him a chance to do so. With Deshaun Watson in control of the offense, the 23-year-old is expected to line up all of the field this season.

Breece Hall: Saleh ‘very confident’ back will be ready Week 1
Jets’ head coach Robert Saleh stated Tuesday that he is ‘very confident’ that RB Breece Hall will be ready for Week 1.
Fantasy Impact
Hall was activated off the PUP list Tuesday and took limited reps in practice. With the recent addition of Dalvin Cook, fantasy managers should expect Hall and Cook to split carries to begin the season. Hall currently ranks as the RB16 in ECR and will likely slot in as an RB2 this season in a crowded running back room.

Kendre Miller (knee sprain) has ‘a chance’ to play Sunday
According to Jeff Nowak of Audacy Sports, rookie RB Kendre Miller (knee sprain) will travel with the New Orleans Saints to their joint practice with the LA Chargers. He’ll do his rehab there, and there is “a chance” he plays Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
This is a bit of a surprising development given that the original hopes were that he would be ready for Week 1. It seems more likely that the Saints won’t play Miller in what’s ultimately a meaningless preseason game given his injury history – offseason surgery to repair his MCL and meniscus – especially if they want to preserve his health for the incoming Alvin Kamara suspension. Overall, it’s a good sign for the health of Miller’s knee and his prospects for the season, though the worry early in his career is the risk of re-injury.

Isaiah Likely misses consecutive practices
According to Jamison Hensley of ESPN, second-year TE Isaiah Likely has missed consecutive practices with an undisclosed injury.
Fantasy Impact
Likely has not attended practice since he left the Ravens’ preseason victory early with an injury. It’s unclear what his injury is and his situation should remain monitored. Likely had a promising rookie year – 36 catches, 373 yards and three touchdowns – but he plays behind one of the league’s best TEs in Mark Andrews. Likely’s upside in fantasy is mostly as an insurance policy for Andrews as he has very little standalone value, even if the Ravens up their passing rate this season.

Rookie Watch
Dorian Thompson-Robinson starting for Browns Thursday
Dorian Thompson-Robinson will start against the Eagles on Thursday night.
Fantasy Impact
The 23-year-old rookie QB out of UCLA showed flashes in week one of the preseason completing 17 of 21 passes, along with 184 yards and 2 touchdowns. Thompson-Robinson has a chance of carving out a backup role behind Watson.

Anthony Richardson named Colts’ Week 1 starter
Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen named quarterback Anthony Richardson as the team’s starter for their Week 1 home matchup with the Jaguars.
Fantasy Impact
The worry with Richardson was that it could take time for him to take over as the starting quarterback in Indianapolis, but that’s no longer a worry. The biggest struggle for a rookie quarterback is when they will be able to get on the field, and with Richardson being a Week 1 starter, he could start the whole season. With his dual threat abilities, his fantasy floor is raised to a point where he should garner serious consideration as a draft pick, even in one QB leagues. His current ADP is QB16. Veteran QB Gardner Minshew II will serve as his backup.

NFL Training Camp Notes
Javonte Williams to play in preseason game Saturday
Javonte Williams will play in Saturday’s preseason game vs. 49ers.
Fantasy Impact
This will be the first game Williams will play since tearing his ACL in October. It’s unclear how much work he will get Saturday, but it’s a good sign to see him ready for game action. If all goes according to plan, he should be ready to roll for week one. He averaged 4.3 yards per attempt in his four games last season.

Trey McBride to have a role despite Ertz’s return
Trey McBride is still going to be a “big part” of the offense despite the return of Zach Ertz, according to Cardinals OC Drew Petzing.
Fantasy Impact
Ertz was expected to return at some point this season, it was the timing that was uncertain. McBride has a chance to overtake him on the depth chart, especially when you factor in Ertz’s age and injury history. However, the talented second-year tight end is nothing more than a dart throw in drafts at this point.

Brock Purdy guaranteed by Shanahan as team’s QB1
According to Akash Anavarathan of Niners Nation, head coach Kyle Shanahan said that Brock Purdy “would have to melt in practice to lose the starting job” for the San Francisco 49ers.
Fantasy Impact
This is high praise considering Shanahan’s past in regard to guaranteeing anyone’s certainty as a starter, especially Jimmy Garoppolo‘s. Purdy was cleared as well to practice without off days and could play in the preseason, strong signs regarding his health and availability for the regular season. In Purdy’s five starts, he threw for 1,098 yards, 11 touchdowns and just two picks – finishing as the fantasy QB6 over that five-week span. With certainty as a starter, promising health and an abundance of weapons, his current ADP of QB21 feels like a potential steal.
