NFL DFS Week 10 Stacking Advice
Los Angeles Chargers @ Green Bay Packers
We bring in the first golden rule with Jordan Love leading the way as the Green Bay Packers enter this game against the Las Angeles Chargers as a three-point underdog. The narrative is built for them to throw the ball through this game, especially with the Chargers’ run defense being better in recent weeks. However, this Chargers defense has allowed the most passing yards this season to quarterbacks. The defense also allows their opponents the sixth most passing touchdowns, making them the second-easiest matchup for fantasy points per game (FPPG) to quarterbacks at 20.2 a game.
When a quarterback can dominate a defense, his pass-catchers aren’t usually far behind. The Chargers allow the fifth-most receiving yards to wide receivers and are tied for third at touchdowns allowed for the position. With the Chargers allowing the fifth most FPPG to the wide receiver position, we lean on Romeo Doubbs, who has three touchdowns in his last four games and six overall.
We double stack here with Luke Musgrave, who is coming off a week of recording his career-high in yards with 64. He is met with a defense that allows the fourth-most receptions and third-most yards to the position. They are also tied for the fourth-most touchdowns to tight ends. The Chargers allow the sixth-most FPPG to the tight end position, and when you pick a tight end, you want to pick one in a good game script (underdog narrative) in a high implied total (fifth-highest on the main slate).
When it comes to the bring-back, this is a tough choice. Either can work well. Keenan Allen is the passing offense and gives you a weekly safe floor. However, using Austin Ekeler is the correct move in Week 11, as the Green Bay Packers’ defense struggles in the run game. The Packers’ defense allows the ninth-most rushing yards and is tied for the fifth-most rushing touchdowns. They also allow the seventh-most receptions to running backs, Ekeler’s bread and butter within the game script. With the Packers allowing the eighth-most FPPG to RBs, Ekeler seems like a safe bet to meet his floor and exceed his projections.
Seattle Seahawks @ Los Angeles Rams
We are again using golden rule No. 1 here, with the Los Angles Rams entering this game as a slight underdog of only one point. We also follow golden rule No. 2 with the setup of this stack. Finally, we follow the final golden rule because Stafford and Nacua have 3x his salary four times this season, showing they can take over and elevate a lineup. Cooper Kupp has only done it once, but he has been dealing with injuries, and we know he can do this weekly.
Vegas also believes this game could be a shootout, with the implied total sitting at 46 points and the LA Rams’ total touchdowns sitting at 2.5 against Seattle. With this trio combination from LA, we recruit most of their offense for our lineup. These wide receivers will face a Seattle defense allowing the ninth-most receptions and are tied for the fourth-most touchdowns to WRs. Although they only allow the 14th-most FPPG to the wide receiver position, this could be a prime scenario for this team coming off the bye to have a “boom” game.
As for Noah Fant, you hope this tight end falls into the endzone. The Rams allow the eight-most receiving yards to the position and the second-most touchdowns to tight ends. These totals have landed the Rams’ defense as the second easiest matchup in DFS, with 9.5 FPPG allowed to the tight end position.
Las Vegas Raiders @ Miami Dolphins
Vegas gave the Miami Dolphins the highest implied point total this week. Are we shocked by that? No. We know they tend to beat up their opponents when playing bottom-of-the-barrel teams. This week, the Dolphins face a defense allowing running backs to thrive throughout 2023. The Raiders have allowed the third-most rushing yards to the position. This same defense is tied for the fifth most rushing touchdowns allowed to running backs.
They even struggle with stopping them in the passing game, allowing the 13th-most receiving yards by running backs this year. These struggles combine to make the Raiders the seventh-easiest matchup for running backs in the 2023 season. My take is to pick the running back with the lower rostership percentage. They love running outside zone plays, elevating their chances to take one to the house and help you break the slate in Week 11.
Let’s keep Tyreek Hill quick and simple. If you can afford him, you play him. He has 3x his salary six times this season and is projected for 25.63 points against this Raiders defense.
If you can use the bring-back of Davante Adams, you should. He should be peppered with targets by Aidan O’Connell in a game script that will demand the Raiders to throw the ball to score. Jakobi Meyers has been phased out since the coaching/quarterback change, but Adams should thrive within this game.
