2024 NFL Mock Draft
2) Washington Commanders: Jayden Daniels (QB – LSU)
This has always been my pick for Washington. Jayden Daniels fits Kliff Kingsbury’s system and is currently -180 (per DraftKings Sportsbook) to be the second overall pick in the draft. Terry McLaurin finally gets a quarterback upgrade. He and Daniels will be connecting weekly on downfield shots in 2024. In 2021, Kyler Murray ranked fifth in deep ball rate, per Pro Football Focus (PFF). In his final collegiate season, Daniels led all collegiate passers in deep PFF passing grade and deep adjusted completion rate, per PFF.
The Patriots showed an unwillingness to trade down from 3rd overall, according to @AlbertBreer.

4) Minnesota Vikings: J.J. McCarthy (QB – Michigan)
*Minnesota trades 1.11 & 1.23 with the Arizona Cardinals*
The writing has been on the wall for weeks. The Vikings need a quarterback. No, Sam Darnold isn’t the answer. He was the break glass in case of emergency option who shares the same hairstylist as Josh McCown.

6) New York Giants: Malik Nabers (WR – LSU)
The Giants would have loved to draft a quarterback this year but it wasn’t in the cards. Instead, they finally secured an elite-level receiving prospect who can operate as their alpha with Jaylin Hyatt stretching the field and Wan’Dale Robinson working underneath as complements. Malik Nabers is a versatile receiver who ranked third in yards per route run and fourth in missed tackles forced last season, per PFF.

10) New York Jets: Brock Bowers (TE – Georgia)
The Jets made this an easy pick after the acquisitions of Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses to shore up their tackle spots. The addition of Brock Bowers gives Nathaniel Hackett the freedom to bounce between 11 and 12 personnel. A starting lineup consisting of Garrett Wilson, Mike Williams, Breece Hall, and Brock Browers will be a huge upgrade from 2023.
