While fantasy football redraft season is still a few months away, it’s never too early to look at early average draft position (ADP) numbers. Some players left the 2024 NFL Draft with their fantasy football value heading in the right direction. Unfortunately, other players saw their fantasy football value take a significant hit. As you prepare for your redraft fantasy football leagues or take part in best ball drafts, let’s dive into players trending up following the 2024 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Football Risers
Unfortunately, the fantasy football community got less than four games from Richardson before a shoulder injury ended his rookie season. However, he is drooling with fantasy upside because of his rushing abilities. The former Florida star averaged 9.4 fantasy points per game with his legs as a rookie. Reportedly, Richardson feels 100%, while the Colts are more cautious. More importantly, Indianapolis improved its supporting cast during the NFL Draft, adding multiple wide receivers and offensive linemen, including second-round pick Adonai Mitchell.
Last year, White was the RB8, averaging 14.1 half-point PPR points per game during the four weeks as the starter, seeing at least 20 touches in every contest. While some thought the Raiders would add a running back early during the NFL Draft, the team waited until the sixth round to select Dylan Laube. Meanwhile, Alexander Mattison presents no threat to White’s starting role. Head coach Antonio Pierce’s goal is to run the ball and play defense, making White one of my must-have running backs in 2024.
Many called Pickens an offseason winner after the Steelers traded away Diontae Johnson. Instead of using an early draft pick on a wide receiver, Pittsburgh spent their top two selections to improve their offensive line. While they spent a third-round pick on Roman Wilson, he is the only offensive weapon the team drafted this year. Pickens was a top-20 wide receiver without Johnson in 2023 despite catching passes from Kenny Pickett. He has top-10 upside with Russell Wilson or Justin Fields under center.
The Bills entered the NFL Draft with a massive need at wide receiver. Buffalo ultimately made 10 picks this year but only spent one on a pass-catcher, using a second-round pick on Keon Coleman. Therefore, Kincaid could find himself in a Travis Kelce-like situation as the go-to target at tight end with limited options at wide receiver. Kincaid ranked 13th among tight ends in first-read target share in 2023 (per Fantasy Points Data). He could end up ranking top-three this year and finish the season as the overall TE1.
