Tuesday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Kris Bubic (KC) vs. COL
Kris Bubic was an underwhelming starter early in his career, succeeded in Kansas City’s bullpen last year and is breaking out in the rotation this season. According to FanGraphs, in four starts spanning 24 innings in 2025, Bubic has had the following stats.

Bubic has excellent surface and underlying stats. He should keep building on a breakout campaign in a drool-inducing matchup.
The Rockies are 26th in wRC+ (67) with a 31.4 K% versus lefties. Unsurprisingly, the Royals are -210, and the game’s total is 8.5 runs. Since the Royals are heavily favored, the game’s total isn’t concerning.
Bailey Ober (MIN) vs. CWS
The Cardinals lit up Bailey Ober in his first start in 2025 on March 30. He’s settled in since then. In three subsequent starts totaling 16.1 innings, Ober has had a 2.76 ERA, 3.99 xFIP, 3.85 SIERA, 0.98 WHIP, 4.5 BB% and 21.2 K%. In those turns, he also had a 14.1 SwStr% and 27.8 CSW%.
Ober should keep cruising against the lowly White Sox. Chicago is tied for 27th in wRC+ (75) with a 22.9 K% versus right-handed pitchers this season. Thus, Minnesota is a -250 favorite, and the game’s total is 8.5 runs.
Jose Soriano (LAA) vs. PIT
Jose Soriano let me down in his last start. Nevertheless, in four starts spanning 25.2 innings this year, the righty has a 3.16 ERA, 3.43 xFIP, 3.81 SIERA, 1.25 WHIP, 9.8 BB%, 19.6 K% and 61.4 GB%. Soriano also has a pair of wins and two quality starts.
Soriano isn’t flawless, but the Pirates are a favorable matchup. Pittsburgh is tied for 27th in wRC+ (75) with a 23.5 K% versus righties. Finally, the Angels are -185, and the game’s total is 8.5 runs.
Suggested Lineup Stacks
Patrick Corbin inexplicably spun a gem in his last start. He hasn’t spun many in the last five years. So, I’m not putting any stock in Corbin’s flukey showing. Instead, I’m stacking the Athletics in their hitter-friendly temporary home ballpark. Per Baseball Savant, Sutter Health Park has the second-highest park factor for runs (130) this season. The A’s should bring Corbin back to reality tonight.

The Rangers can take advantage of the same hitter-friendly conditions tonight as the A’s. Seven of their projected starters have had at least a 104 wRC+ against righties since 2023 or debuting. They can tee off on a pitcher who has been lucky this year. Osvaldo Bido‘s 2.61 ERA in four starts is in stark contrast to his 4.46 xERA, 5.35 xFIP and 5.06 SIERA.

- In 331 plate appearances against lefties since 2023, Brent Rooker has had 22 homers, a .356 OBP, .277 ISO and 155 wRC+.
- Yordan Alvarez has had a .391 OBP, .278 ISO and 161 wRC+ against righties since 2023.
- After last night’s homer, Austin Riley is up to six taters, a .316 OBP, .244 ISO and 131 wRC+ in 95 plate appearances this year.
Value Plays/Punts
- In 32 career plate appearances against lefties, Jacob Wilson has a .344 OBP, .233 ISO and 150 wRC+.
- Miguel Andujar has a .343 OBP and 115 wRC+ in 70 plate appearances this season.
- Marcus Semien has struggled mightily through 86 plate appearances this year. However, he’s atop the lineup and has a 104 wRC+ against righties since 2023. So, Semien is an intriguing punt.

Yordan Alvarez: 7.5 Fantasy Points – Higher (Underdog)
Alvarez has destroyed Bassitt in his career. According to Baseball Savant, in 22 career plate appearances against Bassitt, Alvarez has had eight hits (three singles, one double, zero triples and five homers), two walks, a .655 wOBA and .615 xwOBA.
Austin Riley: 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs – Higher (Underdog) (0.87x)
In 493 plate appearances against righties at home since 2023, Riley has had 131 hits (71 singles, 31 doubles, two triples and 27 homers), a .294 batting average, .357 OBP, .554 slugging and .260 ISO. Riley is also in excellent form. He’s surpassed 1.5 hits plus runs and RBIs in back-to-back games and 10 of his previous 15 games.
Brent Rooker: 1.5 Total Bases – Higher (Sleeper) (1.63x)
Brent Rooker: 1.5 Total Bases – Higher (Underdog) (0.92x)
In 100 plate appearances this year, Rooker has 22 hits (13 singles, two doubles, one triple and six homers) with a .234 batting average, .286 xBA, .468 slugging, .594 xSLG and .234 ISO. His chances to exceed 1.5 total bases tonight will be enhanced by his matchup and the park factors at Sutter Health Park. Since last season, Corbin has allowed a .312 batting average and .513 slugging to 651 right-handed batters. Finally, per Baseball Savant, Sutter Health Park has right-handed batter park factors of 126 for hits, 123 for singles, 148 for doubles, 162 for triples and 103 for homers.
