Each week during the season, I take a look at the reliever landscape to aid with waiver wire and trade decisions. The past week has given us plenty of bullpen moves to adjust to.

Fantasy Baseball Saves + Holds League Advice
Saves + Holds Leaders
Here are the top 12 relievers in saves plus holds (SV+H) through June 11th.
Player | Team | SV+H |
Robert Suarez | SDP | 21 |
Carlos Estevez | KCR | 19 |
Andres Munoz | SEA | 18 |
Tanner Scott | LAD | 18 |
Abner Uribe | MIL | 18 |
Kyle Finnegan | WSH | 18 |
Josh Hader | HOU | 17 |
Bryan Abreu | HOU | 17 |
Camilo Doval | SFG | 17 |
Tommy Kahnle | DET | 17 |
Jeff Hoffman | TOR | 17 |
Emilio Pagan | CIN | 17 |
Takeaways
- Jeff Hoffman leads all relievers with four saves plus holds in the last seven days. He allowed two home runs in those four appearances, further ruining his ERA. On the bright side, he’s only allowed one walk in his past six outings, and his xFIP (2.45) suggests he could be much better if he limits the homers.
- Carlos Estevez (1.19), Kyle Finnegan (1.25) and Bryan Abreu (1.17) have higher WHIPs than the rest of this group. Abreu makes up for his sixth percentile walk rate with a 90th percentile strikeout rate. Estevez and Finnegan don’t share that same strikeout upside, but are locked in as the closer for their respective teams.
- Tommy Kahnle has been racking up the saves plus holds for the Tigers. While Will Vest has been getting most of the save chances, Kahnle has been the go-to setup man. His 1.24 ERA is the best on the team, and his eight saves rank second, only behind Vest.

Biggest Risers
Lucas Erceg (RP – KC) | Injured
Lucas Erceg returned from the injured list (IL) after just a minimum stint. Before he went on the IL, he ranked 13th on this list with his 1.96 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 14 saves plus holds. He rejoins the Royals’ bullpen as the set-up man for Carlos Estevez.
Kirby Yates (RP – LAD) | Injured
Kirby Yates returned from the IL and appeared in three games in four days. He pitched 1.2 innings, allowed zero runs and picked up a win and two saves plus holds. He was ranked 19th on this list before his injury and should see plenty of high-leverage opportunities for the Dodgers.
Chris Martin (RP – TEX) | Injured
Chris Martin returned from the IL and pitched a perfect ninth inning in a 5-0 victory in his first appearance. He has a 1.74 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 10 saves plus holds. He and Robert Garcia have both been excellent for the Rangers and will likely split save opportunities depending on the matchups.
Biggest Fallers
Justin Martinez (RP – ARI) | Injured
Justin Martinez was placed on the IL with a UCL sprain. This is a brutal blow for the Diamondbacks, who will be without Martinez for a second stint this season, while already missing closer A.J. Puk.
Shelby Miller should see the bulk of the closing duties, making him the best option for saves plus holds going forward. His 1.69 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 14 saves plus holds put him firmly in the top 40.
Alex Vesia hasn’t done anything for fantasy managers to lose confidence, but the Dodgers’ bullpen is getting (relatively) healthier. Kirby Yates and Michael Kopech rejoined the team within the last week and should work their way into more high-leverage spots.
Kopech has been out all year with an injury, but was huge as the Dodgers’ closer in their World Series run last year. Since joining the team at the trade deadline in 2024, Kopech has a 1.08 ERA, 0.80 WHIP, 10.8 K/9, four wins and 14 saves plus holds in 25 regular season innings.
