Fantasy Baseball Streaming Pitchers: Waiver Wire Targets (2025)

Fantasy Baseball Streaming Pitchers: Waiver Wire Targets (2025)

Finding good streaming pitchers can be a weekly struggle. I aim to solve this headache during this season by finding the best pitchers, every week, who are on the waiver wire in most leagues. I will use the FantasyPros’ fantasy baseball streaming pitchers tool to find league roster percentage information.

Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Assistant Analyze Moves Who To Pick Up

First, let’s take a look at last week’s picks:

  • Brayan Bello (vs. TB): 6.1 Innings, 4 Strikeouts, 3 Earned Runs, 7 Hits, 1 Walk (No Decision)
  • Jake Irvin (vs. NYM): 5.0 Innings, 4 Strikeouts, 4 Earned Runs, 5 Hits, 3 Walks (Loss)
  • Chris Paddack (@HOU): 4.0 Innings, 1 Strikeout, 8 Earned Runs, 12 Hits, 1 Walk (Loss)
  • Charlie Morton (vs. LAA): 5.0 Innings, 10 Strikeouts, 0 Earned Runs, 5 Hits, 1 Walk (Win)

Total: 20.1 Innings, 19 Strikeouts, 15 Earned Runs, 29 Hits, 6 Walks (1-2)

Well. There’s always next week. Gems from Brayan Bello and Charlie Morton redeemed last week in a way, but Chris Paddack and his eight runs hurt the ratios, unsurprisingly. Jake Irvin did not help, either. However, streaming options look better for this upcoming week.

Without further delay, below are my picks for pitchers to stream during Week 13, from Monday, June 16th to Sunday, June 22nd.

Fantasy Baseball Streaming Pitchers

Monday, June 16th

Clarke Schmidt (SP – NYY) vs. LAA | 19% Rostered

I love Clarke Schmidt against the Angels — a good pitcher against a bad team. Even better, the Angels are worse than a bad hitting team. The Angels’ record is just below .500, but their team batting average of .227 is the third-worst in baseball. Schmidt is a good quality start and win option for Monday.

Schmidt pitches for the 42-26 Yankees and has five quality starts in his last seven outings. He is also fresh off a dominant six-inning shutout against the Royals, where he struck out seven. Schmidt should be one of the best options this week. Grab him if he is available.

Alternative: Lance McCullers (SP – HOU) @ATH | 20% Rostered

Tuesday, June 17th

Will Warren (SP – NYY) vs. LAA | 15% Rostered

Will Warren is another good Yankees streamer against the Angels. Besides being in the bottom three for batting average, the Angels are also in the bottom 10 of other hitting stats such as team OPS.

Warren, who sports a 4.86 ERA and 1.37 WHIP, may still allow a few runs to the Angels. However, the righty has an impressive 11.3 K/9 ratio and should benefit fantasy teams as he faces the Angels, who lead baseball with 664 strikeouts.

Alternative: Michael Soroka (SP – WSH) vs. COL | 3% Rostered

Wednesday, June 18th

Jack Leiter (SP – TEX) vs. KC | 20% Rostered

Jack Leiter is a riskier streaming option, but I still like him against the Royals. The Royals have a team OPS of .673, the fifth-worst in baseball. Leiter has a 3.88 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 45 strikeouts across 55.2 innings.

Leiter has been very hit-or-miss this year, so risk-averse fantasy managers should choose more stable options on this list. Despite the risk, I feel good about Leiter against the Royals.

Alternative: Charlie Morton (SP – BAL) @TB | 5% Rostered

Thursday, June 19th

Cade Horton (SP – CHC) vs. MIL | 12% Rostered

Cade Horton is piecing together a nice rookie season. The 23-year-old has a 3.47 ERA and 1.21 WHIP since debuting with the Cubs in mid-May. Although Horton’s xERA of 4.22 indicates he has gotten somewhat lucky, he is finding success so far in the Majors.

The Brewers currently have bottom-10 hitting stats in baseball, so Horton should not face extreme hardship in this matchup. In addition, Horton has high potential to collect a win pitching for the 42-28 Cubs.

Alternative: Patrick Corbin (SP – TEX) @KC | 8% Rostered

Friday, June 20th

Clayton Kershaw (SP – LAD) vs. WSH | 16% Rostered

Clayton Kershaw appears to have shaken off his rust. He fired five innings of one-run baseball on June 8th against the Cardinals, striking out seven.

The veteran looked much sharper than before, not allowing a single walk. Grab him as he carries this momentum into a matchup against the Nationals.

Alternative: Jeffrey Springs (SP – ATH) vs. CLE | 11% Rostered

Saturday, June 21st

Shane Smith (SP – CWS) @TOR | 22% Rostered

Shane Smith has indescribably continued to outperform his expected stats. I mentioned how his expected stats were much worse than his actual stats a couple of months ago, yet Smith still has a glimmering 2.37 ERA and 1.17 WHIP.

Smith has been far and away the best part of the 2025 White Sox. The Blue Jays are not an easy opponent, but Smith has proven he can succeed against good teams.

Alternative: Brandon Walter (SP – HOU) @LAA | 4% Rostered

Sunday, June 22nd

Lance McCullers (SP – HOU) @LAA | 20% Rostered

Lance McCullers is a strikeout, not a ratio, option. McCullers has an enticing 12 K/9 ratio this season across seven starts. The strikeouts have returned, but he is still rusty after missing two full seasons due to injury.

Likely due to so much missed time, McCullers has a 4.91 ERA and 1.43 WHIP. Stream McCullers to get strikeouts, especially against the Angels, who have the most strikeouts out of any team.

Alternative: Randy Vasquez (SP – SD) vs. KC | 2% Rostered
