- The most appealing pitching option on this slate of games is Robbie Ray. While the White Sox are slightly better against left-handed pitchers than right-handed pitchers, they’re still not good. They have a .662 OPS against left-handed pitchers and a 26.7% strikeout rate.
- Quinn Priester gets the matchup that we always look to target when it’s on the slate. The Rockies are at Milwaukee for this series. The Rockies are second-worst in baseball on the road in OPS at only .615. They also have the worst strikeout rate on the road at 28.1% which is over 1.5% more than the second-worst mark.
- Hear me out on this one. Shohei Ohtani is scheduled to start the game for the Dodgers today against the Royals. His two starts have each lasted one inning. The most logical choice to follow him, based on availability, is Ben Casparius. He has a 23.5% strikeout rate and is going up against a Royals team that now has the fewest runs scored in all of baseball. If you’re looking to load up on offense, he can save you money as the bulk relief option, especially on FanDuel.

- Since the start of May, only the Los Angeles Dodgers and Diamondbacks have a higher team OPS than the Toronto Blue Jays. Today, they are opposed by Lucas Giolito. He’s been very up-and-down this season, but one thing that has held true is that he has struggled at Fenway Park. He’s made five starts at home and five starts on the road. In his home starts, he has an ERA of 7.66, but it drops to 2.15 on the road.
- There are different ways to use the Blue Jays’ lineup in a stack today. With his hard-hit rates, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is always in play, even with his pricy cost. He already has three home runs in June.
- One batter on the Blue Jays has a higher hard-hit rate this month than Guerrero. That is catcher Alejandro Kirk. He has quietly been stellar since mid-April. Over his last 50 games, he is batting .335 with six home runs.
- A cheaper option who can fit into different lineups with his eligibility is Ernie Clement. He’s yet another hot hitter in the Blue Jays’ lineup with a 141 wRC+ in June.

- The best offensive team in June has been the Tampa Bay Rays. They lead baseball in wRC+ at 127 and are second in OPS at .789. The starting pitcher against them is a familiar face in former Rays player Zach Eflin. He opposed the Rays just a couple of starts ago. In that game, he gave up seven earned runs over five innings.
- There are four Rays batters who, whenever they face a right-handed pitcher, jump to the forefront. The first option is young slugger Junior Caminero. In late May, Caminero brought his personal hitting coach to the United States from the Dominican Republic. Since May 20th, only Cal Raleigh and Aaron Judge have more home runs than Caminero.
- The next Rays batter that piques my interest against right-handed pitchers is Brandon Lowe. Against righties, he has 14 home runs and a .869 OPS. There are times he sits against left-handed pitchers, which makes sense given his .470 OPS against them.
- Another batter with splits that favor right-handed pitching is Jonathan Aranda. All eight of his home runs have come against right-handed pitchers this season. His OPS against right-handed pitchers is nearly .900.
- The final batter in the Rays lineup I want is Yandy Diaz. Of all the Rays hitters, no one is hotter than Diaz. Over the last 28 days, he has five home runs and a 1.101 OPS.

Core Studs
- Opposing Zach Eflin is Zack Littell. Gunnar Henderson has had success against his division rival. Henderson is 7-for-18 against Littell in his career with two home runs and a double.
- Manny Machado is good against right-handed pitchers, but he is even better against left-handed pitchers. Eight of his home runs have come in only 86 at-bats against left-handed pitchers. He has a .928 OPS against left-handed pitchers.
- Max Muncy is sitting versus most left-handed pitchers, which makes sense given his .403 OPS against them. Today, he is going against right-handed pitcher Seth Lugo. Muncy has been on a tear recently with a 1.165 OPS over the last 28 days, and he hit three home runs in the past week.
Value Plays/Punts
- Bryan Reynolds’ price keeps fluctuating around $4,000 on DraftKings. Given his 48% hard-hit rate and .505 expected slugging rate (compared to his actual slugging rate of only .385), it feels like he is primed to break out. He hit three doubles in the past week.
- Jesus Sanchez has 16 extra-base hits against right-handed pitchers. He only has two against left-handed pitching. His opposing starting pitcher today is Brandon Pfaadt. Pfaadt’s actual era of 5.49 is bad, but his expected ERA is 6.79, which is in the lowest percentile in all of baseball.
- If you’re looking for a really cheap blow-up option, consider Gabriel Arias. The surface stats this month haven’t matched his hard-hit rates. In June, he has a 44.4% hard-hit rate, which is in the top 15 in the league. Even with that, he only has one home run.

Sunday’s Top 3 Underdog Player Props
Juan Soto has an absurd 1.259 OPS with 25 runs scored in June, and has scored at least one in his last five games. Today, he takes on the Pirates’ Bailey Falter. Falter has an odd reverse split where he has been worse against left-handed batters with a .740 OPS against them.
The switch-hitting Isaac Collins is now batting .260 on the season. In nine of his last 10 games, he has had at least one total base. His matchup is against Antonio Senzatela, who has allowed the most hits in baseball this season with 117. This is my favorite play of the day.
You can read more about Robbie Ray above, but this one is pretty simple. Ray has a 30% whiff rate and a 27.6% strikeout rate. The White Sox have a 26.7% strikeout rate against left-handed pitchers. The White Sox faced a left-handed starting pitcher in Eduardo Rodriguez earlier this week. He struck out 10 in six innings.
