Fantasy Football Mock Draft: FFPC (2025)

Fantasy Football Mock Draft: FFPC (2025)

Drafting on FFPC is one of the most fun experiences in fantasy football. Their combination of PPR and tight end-premium scoring makes it a format unlike others, and the small change in dynamics around one position impacts everything from roster construction to player evaluation. The contests range from a $35 Superflex best ball tournament through to their single-quarterback Main Event, which will set you back $2,000 per entry. For this fantasy football mock draft, we’ve used similar settings to the mid-level $125 best ball contest. FantasyPros’ Draft Wizard has randomly allotted us the 1.03 pick. The main tweak we made in the settings is to set the tight end position’s value to very high.

Early Rounds

To start the draft, Ja’Marr Chase and Bijan Robinson go off the board in a not-surprising one-two punch, which allows us to take Brock Bowers. In this format, where tight ends are rewarded with an extra 0.5 points per reception, on top of their normal one point per catch, having an elite tight end can be a huge advantage. Last year, only six wide receivers or running backs scored more than Bowers’ 302.5 points in tight end-premium scoring, points. Bowers could be even better this season with more adequate quarterback play.

After Bowers, we take Ladd McConkey and Davante Adams, two players at opposite ends of their careers, but who bring defined traits. McConkey will bring volume with upside to the table, and Adams should be a true red-zone threat for the Rams, with Puka Nacua scoring only nine touchdowns through two years. McConkey will be dealing with the return of Keenan Allen, but the ways he wins will allow him to be productive either on the outside or in the slot.

Drafters on FFPC tend to be more running-back-heavy than on platforms like Underdog and DraftKings, so it can be important not to get left too far behind unless you’re employing a true Zero RB approach. In rounds four through six, we opt to triple-tap the running back position with Kenneth Walker, Chuba Hubbard and TreVeyon Henderson. Walker is the lead back for a team that spent their entire offseason making moves that seem sure to signal they want to run the ball more aggressively, and as Derek Brown points out, Walker showed more pass-catching ability last year.

Hubbard can benefit from a more efficient Panthers offense in 2025, with Tetairoa McMillan helping them stay on the field more often. Henderson brings both pass-catching juice and the chance to be a steal with question marks around the unknown, always keeping rookie average draft position (ADP) in check.

Middle Rounds

With only two wide receivers through six rounds, adding more quickly feels like a priority, so Rome Odunze and Jayden Reed join our roster. Odunze has had solid reports from training camp with Ben Johnson talking up being able to use him all over the field, which is a good sign in an offense we expect to be creative and more fantasy relevant than it was in 2024. Jayden Reed has been a polarizing player thus far, with excellent moments but a complete lack of consistency. Per Jacob Gibbs of CBS, Jayden Reed has been targeted 25+ yards down the field 24 times in 33 NFL games. Reed produced 591 yards on those targets. That’s the kind of high-value targets we shouldn’t be afraid to chase in best ball, where we can live with the down weeks.

Due to the tight end-heavy nature of this format, we add a second Packers player in tight end Tucker Kraft, who feels like one of 2025’s true breakout candidates. Kraft can deliver with touchdowns, having scored the third-most in 2024 (seven), and his 9.38 yards after the catch led all tight ends by a wide margin.

It’s time to scoop the discount on Justin Fields in round 10. Yes, Fields is having a poor training camp from a throwing perspective, but that’s never why you draft Fields; it’s all about his legs. Through six games last year, Fields was averaging over 35 rushing yards per game and had two performances with multiple rushing touchdowns. That kind of floor is hard to find. This is a significant upside bet.

In rounds 11-13, it’s time for another triple tap of running backs, adding J.K. Dobbins, Dylan Sampson and Bhayshul Tuten to the roster. Tuten and Sampson help bring upside in the unknown quantities of rookies, and Dobbins could potentially bring plenty of high-value touches with reports suggesting he’ll have the first opportunities at pass-catching and goal-line work.

Late Rounds

To round out this best ball roster, it’s all about depth. We add a second quarterback in Brock Purdy, who has fallen in this draft, as well as a third tight end in Chig Okonkwo, securing our onesie positions, before adding Miles Sanders and Woody Marks to round out our running back room.

Reports around training camp suggest Sanders has looked better than Javonte Williams, which could help us gain some volume of touches throughout the early portion of the season as we wait for our rookie running backs to settle into roles.

At wide receiver, we add rookie Tory Horton, who has performed great in preseason and training camp and might not be around this ADP for long, before adding Roman Wilson and Kayshon Boutte, who both seem a lock to play reasonable amounts of snaps this year.

Draft Results

The Draft Wizard didn’t love this one, only rewarding us with a C+ grade, but it’s possible it didn’t factor in the tight end-premium scoring feature as much as we are. All in all, this roster feels like plenty of fun.
