Fantasy Football Panic Meter (2025)

We’ve now gone through three weeks of the 2025 NFL season, so the fantasy community is naturally panicking on several marquee players.

On this page, we’re going to take a look at five players who were selected in the first three rounds of drafts, determining at what level you should be panicking.

FantasyPros Waiver Wire Advice

Fantasy Football Panic Meter: Week 3

Ashton Jeanty (RB – LV)

Ashton Jeanty has struggled so far this year, averaging only 3.1 yards per carry, as he’s consistently been stuffed at the line of scrimmage due to a porous offensive line.

What’s even worse is that the Raiders are often playing Zamir White in third-and-long situations, as well as Dylan Laube in a two-minute offense.

While I expect Jeanty to take more of those roles eventually, we have no choice but to bump him down a bit. With that said, he is too talented a running back to sell at 70 cents on the dollar. Hold the fort and hope for the best.

Verdict: 6 out of 10 on the Panic Meter

Drake London (WR – ATL)

Drake London has failed to eclipse 60 yards in each of his three games this season. The Falcons just got shut out by the Panthers, so the market perception of this offense couldn’t be any lower right now.

However, London is an elite target earner, so it’s only a matter of time before we get a spike week. Remember, this is still Michael Penix‘s first full year as a starter, so growing pains were expected. Expect this group to eventually get better as the season progresses.

With that in mind, I’m not ready to panic too much about London. While his value has certainly decreased, I wouldn’t sell him at a discount, especially coming off an aberration in Carolina, where they got shut out.

Verdict: 5 out of 10 on the Panic Meter

Chase Brown (RB – CIN)

Chase Brown is someone you can definitely panic about. Joe Burrow is out until December, and the team just got blown out by the Vikings. To make matters worse, Brown has been the least efficient running back in the NFL, averaging only two yards per carry.

However, I’d look to buy low on Brown. Everyone is panicking about him now, so you have a legitimate chance to get him at a major discount. This is still a running back who is top 10 in expected fantasy points per game, so the heavy usage is there.

Jake Browning has kept this offense afloat before, so I believe he can do it again. If you can get Brown for a veteran like J.K. Dobbins, I’d make that move.

Verdict: 7 out of 10 on the Panic Meter

FantasyPros Start/Sit Assistant

Brock Bowers (TE – LV)

Brock Bowers has been held below 40 receiving yards in two consecutive games. The superstar tight end has been held back by his knee injury.

But there’s absolutely zero reason to panic right now. Bowers is still a great bet to finish the season as the overall TE1. There’s simply no one besides Trey McBride who can come close to his target-earning ability.

While Geno Smith is spreading the ball around to targets like Tre Tucker, the spike weeks will come for Bowers. Even though he’s unlikely to live up to his second-round average draft position (ADP), Bowers is still worth holding or buying low. If you can get him for a package like Tucker Kraft and Quentin Johnston, I’d make the move.

Verdict: 3 out of 10 on the Panic Meter

Ladd McConkey (WR – LAC)

Everyone in the fantasy community is panicking over Ladd McConkey because he’s been out-produced by Quentin Johnston and Keenan Allen.

But we really need to stop overreacting to small samples. We can’t let three games of underwhelming production make us forget about how good McConkey was as a rookie.

With Justin Herbert playing like an MVP candidate and the Chargers passing at a much higher rate than expected, the best days are yet to come for McConkey. This is one of my favorite targets right now. I’d be willing to trade Emeka Egbuka for him, but you likely can get him for a cheaper price.

Verdict: 4 out of 10 on the Panic Meter
