2026 NFL Mock Draft: First-Round Picks (2.0)

I posted my mock draft 1.0 about 10 days ago. Since then, we’ve had a little something called the NFL Scouting Combine, which has changed the calculus.

Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles and Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq tested like superheroes in Indianapolis last week, hoisting themselves even higher in the first round. Then, EDGE rushers Rueben Bain of Miami and Cashius Howell of Texas A&M were measured with arm lengths that would make crocodiles blush, potentially dropping them down or out of the first round.

2026 NFL Mock Draft: First-Round Picks & Predictions

Let’s plunge into mock draft 2.0 and see how the combine shuffled the deck.

1. Las Vegas Raiders: Fernando Mendoza (QB – Indiana)

The 2027 NFL Draft will be a quarterback bonanza likely to feature Arch Manning, Dante Moore, Julian Sayin, LaNorris Sellers, Jayden Maiava and Brendan Sorsby, among others. The 2026 NFL Draft has only one quarterback guaranteed to go in the first round, and it’s Fernando Mendoza. He’s a worthy No. 1 pick in a draft that’s woefully thin at football’s most important position.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Fernando Mendoza partner-arrow

2. New York Jets: Arvell Reese (EDGE – Ohio State)

David Bailey might be a safer pick than Arvell Reese, and Sonny Styles may have sprinted, jumped and measured his way into the conversation at No. 2. But Reese is a multi-dimensional defensive weapon who could follow the Micah Parsons path to dominance as an EDGE rusher.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Arvell Reese partner-arrow

3. Arizona Cardinals: David Bailey (EDGE – Texas Tech)

The Cardinals ranked 29th in pressure rate and tied for 28th in sacks last season. David Bailey, the best pure pass-rusher in this class, gives the Arizona pass rush a shot of adrenaline.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for David Bailey partner-arrow

4. Tennessee Titans: Sonny Styles (LB – Ohio State)

The Titans might consider running back Jeremiyah Love here if he makes it past the Cardinals, but Sonny Styles will be irresistible to new Titans head coach Robert Saleh as he tries to build a lockdown defense.

Styles ran a 4.46 at the combine and had a vertical jump of 43.5 inches. He’s a force against the run, he’s a converted safety who’s big and athletic enough to hang with the NFL’s top tight ends, and he thrived in his limited opportunities to be an EDGE rusher at Ohio State. This isn’t too early for an off-ball linebacker with freakish athleticism and chess-piece versatility.

5. New York Giants: Caleb Downs (S – Ohio State)

New Giants head coach John Harbaugh spent 18 years as the head coach of a Ravens franchise that placed high value on the safety position. Harbaugh coached Ed Reed early in his Baltimore tenure and Kyle Hamilton later on. Caleb Downs is an instinctive, do-it-all safety who can help fix the Giants’ shabby defensive backfield.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Caleb Downs partner-arrow

6. Cleveland Browns: Francis Mauigoa (OT – Miami)

This is a tricky spot for the Browns. Offensive line and wide receiver are their two greatest areas of need, and there might not be an offensive lineman or receiver worthy of the No. 6 pick. If Jeremiyah Love is still on the board, the Browns might look to sell this pick and move down, adding an extra draft pick or two.

If they stay put, Francis Mauigoa is the pick, even though Mauigoa himself said that every team he met with at the combine discussed the possibility of him playing guard. Well, the Browns need help all along the offensive line, and Mauigoa is a high-upside blocker with comic-book strength. He was also a three-year starter and team captain for the Hurricanes. It’s a safe pick that fills a need.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Francis Mauigoa partner-arrow

7. Washington Commanders: Jeremiyah Love (RB – Notre Dame)

Would the defensively needy Commanders take a running back here when they only have two draft picks in the first four rounds? The temptation to pair Jeremiyah Love with quarterback Jayden Daniels proves irresistible. Love is the only fine-dining option in a fast-food running back class.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Jeremiyah Love partner-arrow

8. New Orleans Saints: Rueben Bain Jr. (EDGE – Miami)

Rueben Bain’s stubby 30 7/8-inch arm length drops him out of the top five. His arms are the third-shortest among all EDGE rushers to have been measured at the combine since 1999. But the tape suggests that Bain would be a steal for the Saints at No. 8. The thought of Bain and Chase Young terrorizing quarterbacks should make Saints fans smile.

9. Kansas City Chiefs: Kenyon Sadiq (TE – Oregon)

For a team that’s spent most of the last decade as an NFL blueblood, the Chiefs have an alarming number of needs. One of those needs is a replacement for 36-year-old tight end Travis Kelce, who might announce his retirement in the coming weeks. Widely regarded as the best tight end prospect in this class, Kenyon Sadiq dazzled at the combine with 4.39 speed and a 43.5-inch vertical jump.

10. Cincinnati Bengals: Mansoor Delane (CB – LSU)

The Bengals seemingly have greater needs at other defensive positions, but cornerback is a sneaky area of need, with Cam Taylor-Britt about to become a free agent and DJ Turner and Dax Hill both under contract for only one more season. Cincinnati grabs the safest cornerback in this year’s class and goes shopping for pass-rushing help on Day 2, leveraging the depth of this EDGE class.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Mansoor Delane partner-arrow

11. Miami Dolphins: Olaivavega Ioane (OG – Penn State)

Although Olaivavega Ioane is a pure guard, he might be the most foolproof offensive lineman in the class, and there’s a chance he’ll be the first one off the board. This is an infrastructure pick for Miami.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Olaivavega Ioane partner-arrow

12. Dallas Cowboys: Jermod McCoy (CB – Tennessee)

Jermod McCoy missed the 2025 season while recovering from a torn ACL and didn’t work out at the combine, but his 2024 performance was sensational. The Cowboys can’t pass on a chance to add a shutdown cover man to a leaky secondary.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Jermod McCoy partner-arrow

13. Los Angeles Rams (from Atlanta): Makai Lemon (WR – USC)

This might seem like a luxury pick for the Rams, but Davante Adams is 33, and he and Puka Nacua are entering the final years of their contracts. Makai Lemon is a high-floor, high-upside slot man who can fortify the receiver position for the Rams’ future. This selection gives quarterback Matthew Stafford an unholy trinity of pass-catchers for 2026.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Makai Lemon partner-arrow

14. Baltimore Ravens: Carnell Tate (WR – Ohio State)

A lot of mock drafts have Carnell Tate going in the top 10. He’s a worthy first-rounder, but top-10 might be too early for a receiver whose 4.53 40-yard dash at 192 pounds earned him a 47th percentile speed score, per PlayerProfiler.com.

Tate may go after fellow wideouts Makai Lemon and Jordyn Tyson. He would be a nice way for the Ravens to feather quarterback Lamar Jackson‘s nest and give new Ravens offensive coordinator Declan Doyle another arrow for his quiver.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Carnell Tate partner-arrow

15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Keldric Faulk (EDGE – Auburn)

Clearly, EDGE is a need for a Tampa Bay defense that ranked 25th in pressure rate last season despite blitzing at the fourth-highest rate in the league. Akheem Mesidor might be better able to help the Buccaneers’ pass rush in 2026, but he turns 25 in March, and Faulk is only 20. Faulk is 6-foot-6, 276 pounds with a 34-inch wingspan and draws raves for his character.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Keldrick Faulk partner-arrow

16. New York Jets (from Indianapolis): Jordyn Tyson (WR – Arizona State)

The Jets badly need wide receiver help. Jordyn Tyson tore multiple knee ligaments in 2022 and has had other injury issues, but he might be the most complete receiver prospect in the draft. Tyson has good size (6-foot-2, 203 pounds), can line up at any receiver spot and has honed his blocking under the tutelage of one of the best blocking receivers of all time — Arizona State receivers coach Hines Ward.

17. Detroit Lions: Spencer Fano (OT – Utah)

Spencer Fano’s combine was a mixed bag. His 32 1/8-inch arm length might frighten some potential employers, but Fano tested like a champ, clocking a 4.91 in the 40 and a 4.61 in the 20-yard shuttle, and posting a 32-inch vertical jump at 311 pounds. Fano’s arm length won’t scare off the Lions, who need help at both tackle and guard.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Spencer Fano partner-arrow

18. Minnesota Vikings: Dillon Thieneman (S – Oregon)

NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah mocked Dillon Thieneman to the Vikings last month. It seemed like a fanciful prediction at the time, but that call seems more plausible after Thieneman tore up the combine, clocking a 4.35 40-yard dash and recording a 41-inch vertical jump.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Dillon Thieneman partner-arrow

19. Carolina Panthers: Akheem Mesidor (EDGE – Miami)

Panthers owner David Tepper is probably getting impatient with the sluggish pace of his team’s rebuild, so this organization might be more willing than others to spend a first-round pick on a player who’ll turn 25 in March. Carolina had the NFL’s second-worst pressure rate in 2025 and desperately needs pass-rushing help.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Akheem Mesidor partner-arrow

20. Dallas Cowboys (from Green Bay): T.J. Parker (EDGE – Clemson)

After addressing the secondary by taking Tennessee cornerback Jermod McCoy at pick No. 12, the Cowboys use one of the two first-round picks they acquired in the Micah Parsons trade on a pass-rusher. T.J. Parker’s 2025 season was disappointing, but his 2024 season displayed his vast upside.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for T.J.Parker partner-arrow

21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Emmanuel McNeil-Warren (S – Toledo)

Like their hated rivals in Baltimore, the Steelers have a rich tradition at the safety position. Emmanuel McNeil-Warren faced lesser college competition in the Mid-American Conference and didn’t test especially well at the combine, but he’s a hard-hitting whirlwind in between the white lines.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Emmanuel McNeil-Warren partner-arrow

22. Los Angeles Chargers: Kayden McDonald (DT – Ohio State)

The Chargers need interior line help on both sides of the ball. Caleb Banks‘ freaky athleticism and measurables will be tempting, but Kayden McDonald has a more consistent motor and comes with less risk.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Kayden McDonald partner-arrow

23. Philadelphia Eagles: Kadyn Proctor (OL – Alabama)

Once again, the draft falls nicely for Eagles general manager Howie Roseman, who needs offensive line help and gets an athletic, 6-foot-7, 352-pound behemoth with stratospheric potential. The Eagles can toggle Kadyn Proctor between tackle and guard.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Kadyn Proctor partner-arrow

24. Cleveland Browns (from Jacksonville): KC Concepcion (WR – Texas A&M)

After getting offensive line help at pick No. 6, the Browns address their anemic wide receiver room. KC Concepcion is a pro-ready slot receiver who’s electric after the catch and can also add value as a return man.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for KC Concepcion partner-arrow

25. Chicago Bears: Caleb Banks (DL – Florida)

Grady Jarrett turns 33 in April, and Gervon Dexter is entering the final year of his rookie deal. Defensive tackle is a pressing need for the Bears, and Caleb Banks could be a defensive cornerstone if he can reach his vast potential. At the combine, Banks ran a 5.04 40-yard dash and had a 32-inch vertical jump at 6-foot-6 and 327 pounds.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Caleb Banks partner-arrow

26. Buffalo Bills: Denzel Boston (WR – Washington)

The Bills appear to be waving the white flag on Keon Coleman, an early second-round pick in 2024. They take another crack at an X receiver with the 6-foot-4, 209-pound Denzel Boston. Despite his size, he impressed at the combine by running a 4.28 in the 20-yard shuttle. Getting Josh Allen some pass-catching help has to be the top priority for Bills general manager Brandon Beane.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Denzel Boston partner-arrow

27. San Francisco 49ers: Caleb Lomu (OT – Utah)

Caleb Lomu is 6-foot-6 and 313 pounds with 33 3/8-inch arms. He posted a relative athletic score (RAS score) of 9.88 at the combine. He’s a potential replacement for 37-year-old left tackle Trent Williams.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Caleb Lomu partner-arrow

28. Houston Texans: Max Iheanachor (OT – Arizona State)

Max Iheanachor had never played organized football before enrolling at East Los Angeles College out of high school. He’s far from a finished product, but his 6-foot-6, 321-pound frame and freaky athleticism — he clocked a 4.91 40-yard dash in Indianapolis — will make him a first-rounder.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Max Iheanachor partner-arrow

29. Los Angeles Rams: Monroe Freeling (OT – Georgia)

In need of a right tackle following the retirement of Rob Havenstein, the Rams find a plug-and-play replacement in Monroe Freeling, who was second team all-SEC as Georgia’s starting right tackle last season. Freeling ran a 4.91 4-yard dash at the combine at 6-foot-7 and 315 pounds.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Monroe Freeling partner-arrow

30. Denver Broncos: Peter Woods (DT – Clemson)

Peter Woods slides into the back end of the round after a disappointing 2025 season at Clemson. The Broncos need defensive tackle help, and Woods will be a steal for them if he regains his 2024 form.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Peter Woods partner-arrow

31. New England Patriots: Zion Young (EDGE – Missouri)

Zion Young was a Senior Bowl standout. He adds juice to a New England pass rush that ranked 24th in pressure rate last season.

Check out the full 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Zion Young partner-arrow

32. Seattle Seahawks: Chris Johnson (CB – San Diego State)

Expect Seahawks general manager John Schneider to trade out of the first round, as he often does. But if he keeps the pick, Chris Johnson would be a fine fit for Seattle since he thrives in zone coverage. Johnson hasn’t appeared in many first-round mocks, but he’s a well-regarded prospect who further boosted his stock by running a 4.4 40-yard dash and posting a 38-inch vertical jump at the combine.
