Two-Start Pitcher Notes
- Jacob Misiorowski has been otherworldly this season. He has a 1.45 ERA, 0.77 WHIP, 13.3 K/9 and a 9-3 record through 16 starts spanning 99 innings. He gets two divisional matchups against the Cardinals and Pirates, both of whom he’s already faced. In his two games against these same opponents, Misiorowski completed 13 innings, allowed four runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out 21 batters.
- Jose Soriano hasn’t been the same pitcher he was through the first two months of the season. Through his first nine starts, he had a 1.66 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, 10.1 K/9 and 3.3 BB/9. In the eight starts since then, he’s pitched to a 5.75 ERA, 1.67 WHIP, 9.1 K/9 and 6.2 BB/9. The strikeouts haven’t gone away completely, but the walks are hurting him.
