Jayson Stark of The Athletic reports the Phillies are in the advanced stages of talks to hire Dave Dombrowski as their President of Baseball Operations. (Jayson Stark on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
It's an interesting decision as Dombrowski is known for putting contending teams over the top, as he did in his most recent tenure with the Boston Red Sox. However, the Phillies don't currently have a lot of prospects to trade, and they're already indebted to some big-time contracts. We'll see if Dombrowski can maneuver these obstacles and bring a winner to Philadelphia.
