Chad Green (elbow) placed on 15-day IL

The Yankees have placed Chad Green on the 15-day IL with a “right elbow strain” according to Newsday Sports’ David Lennon.
Fantasy Impact:
Chad Green left Thursday’s game with what was believed to be forearm soreness. The team fears an extended injury so it’s safe to say he will be out longer than the minimum 15 days on this one. This is a blow to a Yankees bullpen that has been stellar this season. Green has posted a 3.00 ERA while striking out 16 batters in 15 innings this season. Wandy Peralta, Clarke Schmidt and Ron Marinaccio are all candidates for increased innings and roles with Green sidelined.
