Jakob Junis (hamstring) expected to miss 4-6 weeks

Jakob Junis will miss 4-6 weeks with a Grade 2 hamstring strain according to The Athletic’s Andrew Baggarly. (Andrew Baggarly on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Jakob Junis left his last start Friday against the Dodgers with a strained hamstring and was placed on the 15-day IL on Saturday. This is a large blow to the Giants’ rotation (and fantasy managers’ rosters) as Junis was carrying a 2.63 ERA and 0.96 WHIP across nine starts this season. Junis will be out until around or after the All-Star Break and fantasy managers hope he’s no worse for the wear.
