Zach Davies (shoulder inflammation) placed on 15-day IL

The Diamondbacks placed Zach Davies on the 15-day IL on Tuesday with right shoulder inflammation, retroactive to June 26th. (Arizona Diamondbacks on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Davies has really bounced back from his disastrous 2021 season, pitching to a 3.94 ERA and 1.20 WHIP. Any injury to a pitcher's shoulder is worrisome, but there are no indications that as of yet that he is dealing with anything more serious than the stated inflammation. Davies will be a prime trade candidate if he can return and show he's healthy, so the Diamondbacks have no motivation to keep him out longer than is absolutely necessary.
