Fantasy Impact:

The Padres' starting rotation is in a bit of disarray as Joe Musgrove is sidelined with a broken tie while Yu Darvish has been slowed down following the World Baseball Classic. Just 23, Weathers debuted with a 5.32 ERA as a 21-year-old rookie in the 2021 season across 30 appearances, including 18 starts. However, he was rocked for a 6.73 ERA in 123 innings at Triple-A last season and made just one start for the Padres in 2022. Weathers will have to be sharp out of the gate to maintain a rotation spot on a potential World Series contender.
