Red Sox manager Alex Cora said that Triston Casas shoulder injury imaging is still being reviewed by the medical staff, but he speculated that the rookie first baseman is unlikely to suit up again this season. (MLB.com)

Fantasy Impact:

“The doctors are looking at the MRI,” said Cora. “We’ll know more tonight or tomorrow. [Casas] likely won’t play again this season. He’s on the IL right now, so for him to ramp up again … it doesn’t really make sense.” He posted a .263/.367/.856 slash line this season for Boston with 24 home runs across 502 at-bats. He will look to build off this campaign next season.
