Logan Gilbert played catch before Friday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays and could be ready to throw off a mound by the end of the Seattle Mariners' six-game homestand, which concludes Wednesday. (mlb.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Gilbert was seen going through his progression at T-Mobile Park on Friday, playing light catch in a windup in the outfield before progressing to a windup in the bullpen, though without a baseball. He threw up to 120 feet this week in West Sacramento, just one week after suffering a mild right flexor strain. While Gilbert still has a few steps to complete before starting a rehab assignment, returning by the end of May is possible.
