Gage Workman activated, designated for assignment by White Sox

The Chicago White Sox activated Gage Workman (hip) from the 10-day injured list on Monday and then designated him for assignment. Workman had appeared in just one game for the White Sox before the hip injury sent him to the IL. This is the second time the Rule 5 pick has been designated for assignment by a Chicago franchise. Fantasy Impact:
Workman will now be available on waivers. If he clears, he must be offered back to the Tigers for $50,000.
