Fantasy Impact:
Earlier in the season, Miller told reporters he had been dealing with arm soreness and back tightness. Although he had been pitching through the discomfort, his condition appeared to worsen on Sunday, which may explain his rough outing against the Blue Jays on May 11, when he allowed seven earned runs. There is currently no timeline for his return. In a corresponding move, the Mariners recalled Jhonathan Diaz from Triple-A Tacoma. Diaz is expected to take Miller’s spot in the rotation.
