Fantasy Impact:
The 35-year-old Farmer has played parts of nine seasons at the big league level with the Dodgers, Reds, Twins, and Rockies. Last year, with Colorado, the utility man hit .227 with eight home runs in 300 plate appearances. He is a career .247 hitter with 63 home runs in nearly 2,400 plate appearances. This is a good depth signing for the Braves as Farmer has seen at least one inning at every position except center field and right field during his career. With Ha-Seong Kim on the IL to start the season, Farmer could break camp with a bench role in Atlanta.
