Ronny Simon (shoulder), who underwent shoulder surgery four months ago, has been swinging in the cage and is expected to return to game action in late March/early April. (Jason Mackey on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Simon has had a cup of coffee at the big league level and has slashed .234/.299/.273 across 88 plate appearances. He had more success in the minors, batting .297 with eight home runs and 28 stolen bases in only 69 games. Simon, who primarily plays second base, should open the year in Triple-A Indianapolis but could see some at bats in Pittsburgh later in the year.
