Reds right-hander Chase Burns had a de-load start on Friday against the Giants due to a range of motion issue in his right arm. (Charlie Goldsmith at Fox 19)
Fantasy Impact:
While Burns was good enough to take the ball on Friday, he threw only 24 pitches, a steep decline from the 68 he threw in his previous start. Reds skipper Terry Francona said he wanted to "nip this in the bud right now" in regards to Burns' range of motion issue. While he should be good to go to begin the season, Burns' workload will likely be behind the other members of the starting rotation in Cincinnati.
