Blue Jays shortstop Andres Gimenez drove in all three runs for the Blue Jays en route to a season-opening 3-2 win over the visiting Athletics.
Fantasy Impact:
A defensive miscue in the Athletics outfielder aided a two-run triple for Gimenez in the fifth inning before he broke a 2-2 tie in the ninth with a walk-off single on Friday night. The 27-year-old is set to serve as the everyday shortstop for the Blue Jays this season, but will have to improve on his .210 average and .598 OPS from last season to become remotely close to fantasy relevance this season.
