Eduardo Rodriguez effective in season debut
by David Leisering | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Sun, Mar 29th 10:04am EDT
Eduardo Rodriguez went five innings in his season debut on Saturday and allowed one unearned run on four hits with two walks and five strikeouts in Arizona's 3-2 loss at the Dodgers.
Fantasy Impact:
Rodriguez threw 79 pitches in his five innings with 50 of them for strikes. He pitched to one batter, who reached on an error, in the sixth that led to the unearned run he was charged with. He won 13 games with a 3.30 ERA in his last year in Detroit in 2023, but has gone 12-13 with a 5.02 ERA in 39 starts over two seasons with the Diamondbacks. While one start doesn't signify a resurgence, it was a great start to his season as he looks to bounce back from a couple of subpar years in the desert.
