Alex Bregman went 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs, but it wasn't enough as Washington knocked off the Cubs, 6-3, on Sunday afternoon.
Fantasy Impact:
Bregman went 1-for-9 in his first two games with the Cubs before launching his first two home runs in a Chicago uniform on Sunday. He hit his first in the bottom of the fourth inning against Washington starter, Jake Irvin, and then his second came off of reliever, Cionel Perez, in the bottom of the eighth. Bregman hit .273 with 18 home runs in 114 games in his only season with Boston in 2025. He signed with the Cubs as a free agent in January and is off to a 3-for-13 (.231) start with a .978 OPS in three games this year.
