Gregory Soto earns first save of season Friday
by David Leisering | Pirates Correspondent | Sat, Apr 4th 12:18am EDT
Gregory Soto allowed a two-out, solo home run in the top of the ninth, but hung on for his first save of the season, striking out the side in the Pirates' 5-4 win over the Orioles.
Fantasy Impact:
Soto struck out Blaze Alexander and Taylor Ward to begin the ninth before allowing a solo home run to Gunnar Henderson which cut the Pirates' lead to one. However, Soto rebounded to strike out Pete Alonso to earn his first save of the year. Soto has allowed a run on two hits in 5.1 innings of work through five appearances. The lefthander, who has walked two and struck out 11, appears to be manager Don Kelly's preferred option for saves at the moment. If he is still available in your league, grab him immediately.
