Jameson Taillon pitched six innings on Monday and allowed four runs - three earned - on seven hits, did not walk a batter, and struck out four as the Cubs dropped a 6-4 decision to the Rays.
Fantasy Impact:
Taillon (0-1) suffered his first loss of the season after getting a no-decision in his first start of the year. Taillon did not walk a batter after walking four in 4.2 innings in his season debut. However, he did serve up a pair of home runs on Monday - one to Cedric Mullins and one to Junior Caminero - which accounted for three of the four runs he allowed. Taillon will take a 2.53 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP into his next start, lined up for Sunday against the Pirates.
