Fantasy Impact:

Stowers has been sidelined with a Grade 1 right hamstring strain since the final weekend of spring training, but he has resumed on-field work with the Miami Marlins this week, taking reps at first base and nearing a rehab assignment. Although Stowers was a Gold Glove finalist in left field in 2025, he could see time at first base, as the club has an abundance of outfield options and limited depth at the position with Christopher Morel (oblique) on the injured list. Regardless of where he lines up defensively, fantasy managers shouldn’t be concerned about his role, as he will play regularly. A move to first base would benefit Owen Caissie and Griffin Conine, two left-handed bats competing for playing time in the outfield.
