Tigers left-hander Framber Valdez was rocked for eight earned runs across five innings while taking the loss Wednesday against the Twins.

Six of the eight runs Valdez surrendered on Wednesday came in the first inning, putting the Tigers in a deep hole they nearly climbed out of in an 8-6 loss on Wednesday. The normally steady veteran now sports a 4.76 ERA through his first three starts with the Tigers and lines up to take on the Royals at home on Tuesday night.
