David Peterson will not start Sunday against Cubs

David Peterson will not make his scheduled start on Sunday and will be replaced by Tobias Myers. Myers will be making his first start of the year against the Cubs. (Mike Puma on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Peterson has struggled to an 0-3 record with a 6.41 ERA and a 1.83 WHIP in his four starts this season. It's been even worse in April - after going 5.1 scoreless innings in his first start of the year against the Pirates, Peterson has pitched to an 8.79 ERA in three starts this month. Meanwhile, Myers will be making his first start since August 9, 2025, as a member of the Brewers. Myers has a 3.46 ERA in his six appearances with the Mets this season, but has not pitched more than three innings so it will be interesting how deep he can go on Sunday. The move does not appear to be injury-related - it's more of an attempt to get Peterson and the Mets on track with a shake-up.
