Tobias Myers will make his first start of the season on Sunday against the Cubs. He'll take David Peterson's spot in the rotation. (Mike Puma on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Myers has pitched well in six appearances for the Mets this season, posting a 3.46 ERA with a 9:1 K:BB ratio in 13.1 innings. The righthander started 31 of his 49 appearances with the Brewers in his first two seasons and went 8-7 with a 3.48 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP in 155.1 innings as a starter. However, Myers has not worked more than three innings in a game this season, so it will be interesting to see how deep he can go on Sunday. Peterson, meanwhile, has struggled to an 0-3 record, a 6.41 ERA, and a 1.83 WHIP in his four starts, so this appears to be an attempt to spark both Peterson and the Mets, who enter Sunday's game on a 10-game losing streak.
