Victor Vodnik secures third save of season Saturday

by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Sun, Apr 19th 10:17am EDT

Victor Vodnik pitched around a pair of singles in the ninth to earn his third save of the season as the Rockies defeated the Dodgers, 4-3, on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact:

Vodnik cruised through the first two batters before allowing back-to-back singles to Will Smith and Shohei Ohtani to put runners on first and second. The righthander was able to preserve the lead by getting Kyle Tucker to fly out to end the game. Vodnik is certainly the leader in the clubhouse for save opportunities in Colorado. However, keep in mind that he pitches for a Rockies' team not likely to win a ton of games in 2026, and that he has allowed 15 baserunners in nine innings with just a 5:4 K:BB ratio.
