Zac Gallen gets another no-decision Saturday
by David Leisering | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Sun, Apr 19th 10:47am EDT
Zac Gallen went 5.2 innings on Saturday, allowing two runs on nine hits while striking out three in a no-decision. The Diamondbacks defeated the Blue Jays, 6-2.
Fantasy Impact:
Gallen has now made five starts this season with three resulting in a no-decision. He threw 88 pitches - 63 for strikes - through 5.2 innings on Saturday, but may have pounded the strike zone too much as he allowed a season-high nine hits. The good news was that eight of the nine hits were singles. It has been a mixed bag of results for Gallen this year as he is 1-1 with a respectable 3.52 ERA through 25.2 innings. However, he has allowed 31 hits and has struck out only 14 batters. He is scheduled to take the mound against San Diego on Saturday.
