Jonny DeLuca records stolen base in loss Sunday
by Nicholas Rodriguez | Rays Correspondent | Mon, Apr 20th 6:02am EDT
Jonny DeLuca went 1-for-3 in with a run scored and one stolen base in Sunday's 6-3 loss against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Fantasy Impact:
DeLuca has primarily served in a short-side platoon role in right field for the Tampa Bay Rays this season. However, he drew the start on Sunday with right-hander Mitch Keller on the mound and recorded a single off him in the fifth inning. He owns an impressive .302 average and .845 OPS through 43 at-bats this season and could begin to see more playing time even against right-handers if Jake Fraley’s struggles continue, as Fraley owns a .227 average with a .656 OPS.
