Carmen Mlodzinski can't escape fourth inning Sunday
by David Leisering | Pirates Correspondent | Sun, Apr 26th 7:10pm EDT
Carmen Mlodzinski allowed five runs - four earned - on five hits in 3.2 innings on Sunday as the Pirates were blanked by the Brewers, 5-0.
Fantasy Impact:
Mlodzinski breezed through the first three innings on Sunday, allowing just a walk while striking out three. However, things unraveled in the fourth as he gave up all five runs with four of them coming with two outs. It really got away after Milwaukee's Sal Frelick reached on a catcher's interference with two outs. The Brewers followed with a single, a double, and then another single to end Mlodzinski's day. The righthander dropped to 1-2 with a 4.15 ERA on the season, but has an ERA just over 10 in his last two starts. He is scheduled to face the Reds on Friday.
