Jameson Taillon settles for no-decision Tuesday

by David Leisering | Cubs Correspondent | Wed, May 6th 12:31am EDT

Jameson Taillon allowed two runs on five hits, walked one, and struck out five across 5.2 innings in a no-decision on Tuesday. The Cubs defeated the Reds in 10 innings, 3-2.

Fantasy Impact:

Taillon allowed two solo home runs - one to JJ Bleday in the fourth and the other to Nathaniel Lowe in the sixth - and has now given up 11 homers this season. Only Washington's Zack Littell (13) has allowed more homers in the majors than Taillon on the year. Taillon threw exactly 100 pitches and has reached the century mark in three of his seven starts. All in all, it has been a respectable start for the veteran as he is 2-1 with a 4.24 ERA and a 1.14 WHIP in 40.1 innings. Taillon is scheduled to square off against the Rangers in his next start on Sunday.
