by David Leisering | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Wed, May 13th 12:38pm EDT
Ildemaro Vargas went 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs batted in on Tuesday as the Diamondbacks suffered a 7-4 loss to the Rangers.
Fantasy Impact:
Vargas was the only blemish on MacKenzie Gore's pitching line on Tuesday as he launched a solo home run in the seventh. At 34, Vargas is enjoying a breakout season as his home run gave him seven on the season - already surpassing his previous high of six he hit in 2019. He also has 26 RBI on the year - five short of his career-high of 31 in 2023. Vargas has cooled off, but is still hitting .336 with a .935 OPS in 34 games this season.
