Troy Melton (elbow) had a strong showing at Single-A Lakeland on Tuesday, allowing one run on two hits in five innings. (Jason Beck on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Melton allowed just one run on two hits, did not walk a batter, and struck out six in his fourth rehab start. The righthander threw 63 pitches - 46 for strikes - and topped out at 98 mph on his fastball. In his four rehab appearances, Melton has allowed two earned runs on six hits with a 16:2 K:BB ratio in 11.2 innings. He is eligible to come off the injured list on Sunday, but we'll see if the Tigers want to give him one more start in the minors before joining the Detroit rotation.
