Endy Rodriguez goes yard for first time this season Tuesday

by David Leisering | Pirates Correspondent | Wed, Jun 3rd 12:38am EDT

Endy Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double, two runs scored, three RBI, and a stolen base on Tuesday as the Pirates defeated the Astros, 10-6.

Fantasy Impact:

Rodriguez had a very productive night on Tuesday as he got the Pirates on the board with a two-run homer off of Mike Burrows in the second. He then walked, stole second, and scored in the sixth and, finally, added an RBI double in the ninth. The home run was his first of the season and fourth of his career while the stolen base was his second of the year. Rodriguez has appeared in 11 games this season and is hitting .300 (9-for-30). He'll continue to earn some starts while Joey Bart (foot) remains on the shelf.
